My interest in theory and motive behind architectural design sparked during one of my design classes when we were required to redesign underdeveloped and abandoned buildings in a nearby town center. Certain aspects of the project made me realize how technical and cultural advances as well as economical turmoil can influence the usability and structure of urban settings. Subsequently the dynamics between organization and hierarchy of urban spaces in conjunction with various cultural and socioeconomic factors became one of my main focal points in design classes.
