About

I am currently working as an Urban Designer and Planner with Architects Southwest in Lafayette, LA. Prior to my return "home", I worked with the UNLV Downtown Design Center in Las Vegas as a Senior Researcher/Urban Sustainability Strategist on regional projects and Adjunct Professor leading a 4th year urban design studio at the UNLV School of Architecture.

From 2009 to 2013 I was a Teaching Fellow at the Bartlett's Development Planning Unit at the University College London where I ran studios in Urban Practice and Critical Urbanism, the former focusing on application of methodologies for alternative ways of practice and the latter entails the focus on case-studies and investigative design strategies including, but not limited to informal settlements in the Global South. I also co-founded and was the Co-coordinator of the DPU summerLab workshop series. This teaching paralleled fieldwork and consultancies in Thailand, the Philippines, Beirut, Istanbul, Zurich, Medellin, Rome, Brescia, and London through the DPU.

I am a trained architect and urban designer with extensive and diverse international professional experience. My work affiliation has ranged from high-profile residential/commercial/cultural projects for Studio Daniel Libeskind, Holzer Kobler, Foster + Partners, and Heatherwick Studio. Beyond those particular mainstream design pursuits, my current interests revolve around the complex processes of contested urbanism, community design, the critical regionalist and situationist oppositions to capitalist modernism, the politics of space, and the championing of a critical design practice.
