The Architecture Program at the University of Oregon is a comprehensive 5 year program. It teaches its students both the nuisances of architectural theory in regards to the human element of architecture and the basic technical principles of building construction and systems. There is also a huge emphasis on sustainable design and being carbon conscious with the school located so close to logging sites in Oregon. The school made it a point to teach its students the benefits and how to of mass timber construction.
