Founded in 2019, The Collective is an evolution of collaborative work at the Whole Systems Design Studio, bringing together a working farm, homestead, plant nursery, and professional landscape architecture practice. We offer our clients a unique, working knowledge of regenerative food, fuel, and shelter systems, applicable at every scale and built on establishing one of the foremost cold climate permaculture homesteads and research farms in the Northeast.

We work with our clients to site, design, plant and build the elements of sustaining places. Our multi-disciplinary approach integrates ecology, agriculture, architecture, and construction. These are adaptive, resilient homesteads, farms, schools and public spaces that yield perennial abundance and enduring value.
