WE Design is a New York City based design firm led by Tricia Martin, RLA, LEED AP andWinston Ely, LEED AP that seeks innovative, buildable solutions to cities, landscapes, and the built environment. With backgrounds in landscape architecture and building design, interiors, urban design and art, Tricia and Winston are able to work on a wide range of project types at a variety of scales.

WE Design believes that good design and excellent customer service is a collaborative process. As a husband-wife, architect-landscape architect team we understand first-hand the importance of listening, communicating, and sharing ideas as a critical part of the design process. Our collaborations begin with each other, but extend to our clients, the communities, and the expert consultants that we work with to ensure a fantastic product.
Inside/Outside: Led by a team of architectural and landscape designers, WE Design operates with the understanding that the relationship between the natural world and the spaces that we inhabit are profoundly important. We strive for reciprocity between indoor and outdoor spaces to create places that are beautiful and sustainable.
Research/Applied: Our strength is in solving complex design problems. As an experience-based company, our core competencies are the ability to successfully organize and deliver significant and multifaceted solutions, often while creating and acquiring new knowledge to solve complex problems. As teachers and practitioners we are able to imagine and construct new realities.
Large/Small: There is no project too large or too small for WE Design. With experience working at scales ranging from master plans for new towns to the design and fabrication of singular benches, our team has the capacity to solve complex design problems of all sizes. In fact, our design work thrives when scales intersect. A large project, such as a sustainable master plan for Far Rockaway, New York, might encompass many smaller elements, and even a small project, such as a contemplative meditation garden, offers opportunities to connect to broader systems, views, and communities.
