SEATTLE – January 20, 2016: Weber Thompson has promoted seven staff members to new leadership positions: two new Principals and five new Associates.
New Principal Myer Harrell AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Homes is Weber Thompson’s Director of Sustainability and is a passionate advocate for green buildings and design in and outside the office. He is currently managing a highly-sustainable commercial office building in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood that will be the future home of Tableau software. Heavily involved in the community, Myer was named the 2011 AIA Seattle Young Architect. He currently serves on the Greenbuild Program Working Group and has co-instructed architecture studios at the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Cascadia Green Building Council.
Promoted to Principal is Brian Steinburg AIA, LEED AP BD+C. Brian is a Senior Project Manager in the High-Rise Design Studio and has been part of the Weber Thompson team since 2000. A few of the projects he has worked on include Cirrus, Premiere on Pine, and Fifteen Twenty-One Second Avenue. He is currently working on 970 Denny, a high-rise tower in South Lake Union. In the community, Brian has been heavily involved in the effort to reshape Seattle’s waterfront for over a decade. Currently he serves as the Waterfront Chair representing Allied Arts as a member of the Central Waterfront Committee.
New Associates promoted are Jason Hanner RA, LEED AP; John Stout LEED AP BD+C; Aaron Swain RA, LEED Green Assoc.; Skye Bredberg RA, LEED AP; and Marketing Manager Erin Hatch.
