A fun beach house design in a surf town along the west coast of South Africa. The house consists of 2 double storey buildings which can function independently to accommodate for fluctuations of use and habitation throughout the year. The objective was to provide a weekend getaway gem that can cater for different family sizes. The weather for the most part is hot and dry, the lifestyle is relaxed and activities are directed to the ocean which led to the design being oriented around large outdoor covered chill spaces with ocean views with surf, swim, fishing and leisure amenities.
