He moved to New York City from Cairo, Egypt 7 years ago to acquire his bachelor's degree in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology. Having graduated in June 2012, Wagdy has taken part in international competitions as in collaboration with firms in Egypt, Qatar, Italy and the US. He has recently won a Design competition as part of a team to build a recycling facility in Nosara, Costa Rica. He will be traveling in January to take part of the construction team. Wagdy has built projects/ experience in the middle east, in collaboration with C.E.G Egypt. Most recently he, received an honorable mention in an invite only competition between some of the top 25 schools in the world to re-imagine a post industrial site into an extension for a university campus in Milan, Italy. Wagdy is currently earning his master's degree in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University in the city of New York.
