The residence of Mr. Saleem – “Mannath” is such a creatively challenging project.

Built within a plot area of 15,820 sq. ft. Mannath has a driveway, swimming pool, rooftop garden, and a lot of internal and external landscaping. Located in Kadavathur in Kannur district, 6700sq. ft. home Mr. Saleem, “Mannath” stands out in beauty and class mainly because of its contemporary architecture style. The most noticeable trait of this contemporary architecture is the fusing of slope and flat roof, the combination of which, gives the home an extraordinary style of elevation. The Architectural beauty of Mannath can be felt right from the entrance, past the carefully set landscape,  cantilevered pergola with glass sections supported with a cable on top is set to capture everyone’s attention. There has been a lot of glass panelling and landscaping in both the interior and exterior.

One shall also be enchanted by the central interior court that houses the grand wooden staircase leading to upper living which then bifurcates to the first floor. The Dining, Kitchen, and other rooms in the ground floor are arranged around this central court. The night view of this area looks more beautiful with the perfect lighting provided on the floor as well as on the pillars around it. The court has a well-defined lawn and pebble area with Rhapis palm planted in huge pots.

Next is the massive Dining area that has a great view of the pool and the poolside landscaping. The design of the dining area has been made in such a way that it can be extended to the pool area. Sliding glass doors and curtains are used to separate the dining and pool area rather than using solid walls for this purpose. Moving on to the Bedrooms, each bedroom interior is set within a varying theme. Master Bedroom houses a large glass window with a view of the exterior landscaping. The Master bedroom also has a private balcony with a fully landscaped court area to enjoy the evenings.

The rooftop garden of Mannath is a charming space to enjoy the evenings. Using vibrant material combinations, the Interior Designer has tried to add more class to this space. All these unique and challenging Architecture and Interior Designing have helped Mannath be a one of kind home, another successful project from V.M Architects.
