I am Vipin S R, and I am seeking a job as architect or consultant in your country. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from University of Kerala, India (1993) and I have a working experience of over 20 years. For the past 16 years, I have been practicing on my own and during this period, I have designed and completed over 200 residences, and a multitude of commercial buildings, interior projects and a few institutional buildings. I am well versed with AutoCAD, Revit (BIM) and Sketchup, as well as MS office. I am a fast learner and I can easily adapt to any situation, and I like pressure situations. My expertise is in the design and execution of residential buildings, and this would include preparation of complete shop drawings & estimates and controlling the execution of the project to ensure that all specifications are adhered to and the work gets completed on schedule. This is achieved through regular interactions with the client in the initial phase to analyse the requirements and finalise the budget, and constant monitoring of the project during the execution stage. This helps in minimizing errors and reducing cost escalations.

Vipin & Associates is a small architectural firm with myself as the sole architect and three architectural assistants and one Engineer. I have completed over 60 projects of different magnitudes all over Kerala. These include residences from small (Rs.10 Lakhs ) to large ( Rs. 80 Lakhs ), interior work of residences, Offices, Jewellery, commercial buildings, etc. The main projects currently handled by the office are a commercial building on NH Bye pass, Palarivattom ( Rs. 12 Crores/ 2,00,000 sft), Another two commercial buildings ( 60,000 sft & 30,000 sft ), 8 residences ( 20 – 45 Lakhs ), tow apartment projects ( 40,000 sft & 28,000 sft ) and an few interior projects. There are also a couple of apartment projects in discussion stages. I have worked on projects in different parts of Kerala and also on an interior design project in Coimbatore. Starting from feasibility studies, we do the project visualization, initial conceptual designs, rough as well as detailed estimates, detailed drawings and specifications for tendering the project, other details and specifications for the actual execution of work and billing of completed works. We also co-ordinate with the different consultants involved with the project, like Structural, Electrical, plumbing & HVAC, for the smooth progress of the project and to ensure the best results.

Designects was constituted by three architects and we had our office in Ernakulam. We were able to do a variety of projects during the partnership. The projects we had undertaken were mostly residential and interior design projects, and we also completed a medium size apartment building, and some other complexes during my tenure. There was vast difference between the styles of the 3 architects, and so we could give different solutions for the same problems. Here also we were giving comprehensive services to our clients and we had build up a reputation of upcoming architects during this period.

The training under architect Benny Thomas was a very short one, but during this small period, I was able to hone my skills in 3D design modeling (manual), and also learn AutoCAD. I had also good guidance in design of a couple of residences, which we had undertaken during my stint in the office.
