[N]Site Studios, Las Vegas, NV, US, Designer
[N]Site Studios is a small design research firm headed by Jeff Wagner, a Sci-Arc graduate. I learned a lot from my employer. Everything from how to use a 3D printer to how to run a business. I primarily created contruction documents for single family custom homes but I also used the CNC mill to create custom furniture and casework. The first project I manned independently was a 3D Home Tour of Hugh Taylor's projects in Las Vegas. Hugh Taylor was an architect in Las Vegas who designed Mid-century Modern custom homes for celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor. Our office partnered with Nevada Preservation Foundation and we presented our project to the Centennial Commission. We were given a grant for $107K to create a set of 3D models using archived drawings by Hugh Taylor. The models are online and are to be put on display at the Nevada History Museum.
