Our brief was to design a contemporary urban home for a young couple and their son that would allow them to host their extended family over the weekends as well as to accommodate a working area for the husband. These two requirements, namely to seamlessly blend the live-work environment and effectively cater to the extended family, became central to the design of the apartment. Our approach followed an Urban Design paradigm with touches of the Indian Aesthetic and the philosophy of simple and purposeful functionality. 

This urban space connects its dwellers through aspiration and open values of a cosmopolitan lifestyle - the blurred lines where life, work, innovation and identity flourish. The design elements combine to tell the story of a city dwelling couple who are nature lovers and book readers. The house embodies their values of simplicity and functionality. The design is always purposeful valuing functionality and form in a well-crafted balance – one never outweighing the other.
