The bike has a very important rol in the sustainability for big cities debates in the last decades. The Reperimetral proposal is about a new conection between downtown, the north area and the existing bikw ways in south area, making this way the bigest urban sistem for biking in Brasil for all tipe of users.

Using steel beams from the old highway that was demolished for making a 38 km bike way across the city of Rio de Janeiro, linking, Downtown, Ilha do Fundão, UERJ (both Federal Universities), Maracanã Stadium,  Flamengo, Av Presidente Vargas, Pça da Bandeira, Santos Dumont Airport.
