Singapore, SG
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) of Singapore, Singapore's planning authority, has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Singapore's Rail Corridor project on 18 March 2015.
The Rail Corridor is a 24 km-long former railway line that stretches from the north to south of Singapore. As of 1 July 2011, it is longer in use, and has since become an informal public space for leisure activities. It threads through diverse landscapes, from high-density public housing to enclaves of private housing, from business parks and industrial estates to a Nature Reserve and public parks.
This RFP is open to local and overseas landscape architectural and architectural firms. It is a 2-stage RFP. The 1st stage is Pre-Qualification where interested design teams are given 5 weeks to submit information on their team composition and organisation, track record, as well as a Statement of Design Intent for the Rail Corridor no later than 23 April 2015.
The RFP invitation and tender documents are posted on GeBIZ - Singapore government’s e-procurement portal. Interested firms will need to register as a GeBIZ Trading Partner to download the RFP documents (https://www.gebiz.gov.sg/).
