(uncommon) are currently undertaking design and planning works for a range of street planters as the first phase of improvements to Waterloo Road.  These incorporate rain water reservoirs and as well as greening the current wide & bland pavements, they collect run-off from Waterloo Road which is collected in an irrigation reservoir for the planting.  Low walls double as street seating which is illuminated by gentle coloured lights in the evenings.
