Hello! I'm Tu Lan, a highly motivated architect based in California. I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Architecture from ETH Zurich, one of the most prestigious architecture schools globally, where I developed a strong foundation in architectural design, structural design, and construction technology. I also studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, enriching my fine arts and architecture background.
With professional experience across Beijing, Zurich, and now in California, I have worked with leading firms such as Corinna Menn GmbH, where I contributed to renovating Zurich's central train station, ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining budget constraints. I have also collaborated on international museum projects, such as the Museum of Zhang Zhidong with Studio Libeskind, focusing on research, design, and artifact preservation.
I am proficient in various design tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros, and Adobe Creative Suite, and I have solid skills in project management, client collaboration, and code compliance. My adaptability and quick learning abilities allow me to thrive in diverse architectural environments.
Fluent in English, Chinese, and German, I am also learning Italian to expand my linguistic capabilities further. I'm passionate about sustainable architecture, collaborative design, and creating spaces that respond to their unique contexts.

Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition, Award
Shortlist, final recognition decision in Dec 2024
Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition" will contribute to the development of the architectural world through the competition.
We have been sponsoring the Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition every year since 1966.
Judged by architects renowned for expertise in their field, the competition has sparked interest among students who aspire to be architects and professionals working both at architectural firms and in the design divisions of general contractors.
The competition became international in 1976 when overseas entries were first invited.
We hope this competition will be an opportunity to think of a desirable society and environment in the present day in which the pursuit of economic efficiency and rationality, as well as the preservation of the natural environment and conservation of historical and traditional culture, is required.
