Client- Mr. Mahaveer Bafna           Project Completion- 2018 

A duplex penthouse in a 20-year-old apartment had to be renovated for its new residents, a family of four and a new born.

The three-bedroom apartment came with a living area attached to a balcony, closed common spaces with small windows and couple of terraces in the upper level.

We started off knocking of a few walls to achieve an open plan, bigger windows for seamlessly lit and visually connected living, dining and kitchen areas.

The upper level which initially had a small bedroom with two huge terraces was re-planned to achieve a huge new master bedroom with a mezzanine floor and still keeping most of the terrace area and enlivening it to a private and public get together garden spaces.

The main challenge was to refurbish the duplex using majorly the old furniture and carpentry the house came along with to satisfy the different and growing functional and aesthetic needs of its new users yet keeping budget constraints in mind.
