Our approach to design is informed by the particular opportunities and parameters of a project; the program, the context and the client. To this, we bring an interest in the history and craft of architecture. We are attempting to employ certain principles; symmetry, hierarchy, repetition that are characteristic of the classical architectural canon. These principles are used to develop a body of work that is innovative, elegant and modern. We are comfortable with and are challenged by work across a wide stylistic spectrum-from the restoration of an eighteenth century house to a modern loft renovation. Whatever the project is, we try to find the most appropriate functional, aesthetic and cost effective response.
