Situated on the outskirts of downtown Greenville, this museum design is greatly influenced by the skiing
experience. The idea of the ski slope and ski lift are embodied by the circulation path inside, while the whole act of progression through the space is put on display for those outside. While the transparency may not seem pragmatic for exhibit space, there is ample room inside the three main pods for the displaying of precious pieces. The large green space held within the angles of the museum acts as a continuation of the Swamp Rabbit Trail and creates a connection to the city beyond.
