My interest in the field of architecture stems from my studies about how senses can be evoked with changes in layout and space. Additionally, I am interested in how spaces can become more accessible and inclusive. Architecture philosophers such Foucault, Rasmussen, and Le Corbusier have studied the effects of architecture on the human body and in relation to art. Vision is not the only thing that should be prioritized in design, other senses such as body sense, balance, and hearing are just as important in an exhibition space as it is important in homes, gardens, and halls. Due to rapid urbanization and development all across the world, learning about how spaces are organized and how it changes perspectives is valuable for my academic goals in understanding the connotations of space and power.
