Dude- seriously? Architecture is about clarity, not fluffiness. Your "resume" reminds me of a dish in witch the chef put so much MSG, salt, or chili that it actually masks the flavors of the base  ingredients. More often than not, such methods are used by cultures where the food is going bad and the people over time have developed ways to distract from or to make up for the mediocre taste.

Resolution: SIMPLIFY... Good simple graphic design is the only thing anyone in this industry care about. Loud language, like the one exhibited in this icon-filled vomit of a resume will never be looked at seriously. Even graphic design as a disciplin is about comminication. What I see from this document  is that you respect only yourself with regard to being able to understand the content. and I will allow myself to go even further by stating the contraposivitive: you disrespect anyone who cannot understand your resume. Graphic Design shares two of the three elements Vitruvius said make architecture: "comodity" (function) and "delight" (beauty/aesthetics); strength or structure is the third and is not applicable. You have the aesthetics, but do not have the function.

      GOOD LUCK FINDING AN INTERNSHIP!!!

that actually is the most perfect reflection of the graduating class' generation. its a gaming resume. looks good if the persom who hires you understand that, if they do not, who the fuck cares, they will be croaking soon.

kids with bad parents need someone to tell them how to get better... it maybe be out of place, but we have to stop the political correctness and stop construing "constructive criticism" as niceness. Sometimes you need to smack someone out of their day dream. In this case, this kid clearly had no one tell him how things really need to be professionally and if he wants a job anywhere, he ought to listen. We aren't talking about a piece of art here where whether or not you offer an opinion or not, it really won't matter... We are talking about someone's career, and a bit of harsh advice can have a much bigger impact than small bits of "constructive" criticism.

you mean a career like yours, maybe the kid doesnt want a career like yours.......at least i can tell his CAD skill level from this resume quicker than a "professional" resume

This guy wants to be an INTERN at an architecture firm.. why undertake any internship if you have one foot in and one foot out the door? In other words, why would you prepare a resume for an architectural internship unless you wanted to be an architect? All I am saying is that there are better and more effective way to demonstrate you skill level while maintaining some kind of clarity...

I still my comments were both respectful and constructive. It's very easy, and justified, to go off the rails on this one but I felt it more appropriate to maintain professionalism.

      Nice one Olaf.

      +1 to BulgarBlogger's comments.

This is way too loud, way too disorganized, and way too amateur to take seriously. At first glance it looks like a 14 year old's first experiment with CSS.

Look at other resumes on this site / issuu. You have a lot to learn about graphic hierarchy, and a lot more to learn about grids (GRIDS! PLEASE!). Lose the timeline ("born?" ...nothing you did before university matters and it makes the timeline look comically lopsided). Lose the social networking icons. Get a better font. The large graphic of your own name is barely legible (Have you even played Descent?). Lose the quote by IM Pei. It's *your* resume, not his. Lose 90% of the graphics. Understand the value of negative space.

      My 2c. Good luck.

Is this really a blog about his life? Like, okay.

This is a interesting world we are engineering. Side note, I just saw there's a new show on Syfy called "The Internet Ruined My Life".

To the world: let's try to keep everything in perspective here. Just go back to pagers and sidekicks if you can't handle it.

Obviously I agree about the slap in the face philosophy.

Also. Your first post in your blog is 100% self promotion? Congratulations.

Just use your profile page like the rest of the world.

      LOL at these comments.

My first portfolio was cringe worthy but my resume wasn't so bad. Maybe type up your resume using a Word template. That way you can get the content down. Then you add "graphic design" into. Just keep it simple.

PS - hope your resume isn't a reflection of your portfolio [shock face emoji]
