About

Architecture came to me as a natural path following my genuine interest in arts. Following an intense yet beautiful two-year preparation journey, I ranked 11th out of 875 candidates in my admission exam at the University of Architecture and Urbanism “Ion Mincu” in Bucharest. In 2012, after an Erasmus scholarship, I continued my studies and graduated as M.Arch from the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, a renowned NAAB-certified worldwide architecture university.

My undergraduate thesis is entitled The Historical Evolution of Ocularcentrism in Architecture; an analysis of the hierarchization of the human senses in the perception of space. My M.Arch final diploma project – Research & Formation Center in The Albufera Natural Park in Valencia – focuses on the relationship between the built environment and the natural landscape. The project is designed to harmoniously integrate into the surroundings using passive architecture principles and green building technologies.

After graduating, I worked in Bucharest on a series of single and multi-family housing developments, hotel extensions and interior design projects, before joining Romania Green Building Council. Within RoGBC, I coordinated the organization's green building certification and financing program, working with architects, investors/developers and other building industry practitioners to actively improve the building industry in Romania through green design, adaptive reuse, introduction of sustainable materials.

In May 2019 I moved to NY, and joined Plainspace DPC, where I played a key role in supporting the two founding partners throughout all phases of renovations and new construction projects. My responsibilities included design & construction documentation, material selection, client communication, contractor coordination, and project management. This end-to-end role has honed my ability to effectively collaborate with project trades to deliver the design execution on time and within budget, and translate client requirements into creative and practical design concepts.
