TEISSEIRE DUMESNIL architectes + associés [TaaD] is an architectural firm located in Bordeaux in the southwest of France. After having studied at Paris-La Vilette architecture school and having worked for three years for the renowned Andrée Putman in Paris, Pascal Teisseire returned to Bordeaux in 1989 as the co-founder of the architecture firm Teisseire & Touton. Anne Dumesnil, a graduate from Paris-La Vilette architecture school herself, joined the firm in 2005 and became an associate quickly after in 2009. At the start of 2017, Hughes Touton decides to leave T&T following which the architecture firm became TEISSEIRE DUMESNIL architects + associés [TaaD]. Today the firm brings together a strong team of architects, project managers, project assistants and a head of finance and administration with an expertise in project management contracts. In addition to these human resources, a well-equipped and vast workshop “atelier” equipped with powerful computer tools (BIM-REVIT) TaaD provides its clients with full-service solutions, ranging from conception to construction on various architectural projects entrusted to the firm. Regularly participating in public competitions has enabled access to projects with diverse scope and breadth in a variety of contexts ranging from small scale to big scale. Through the diversity of their projects TaaD has constantly renewing its methods of conception and most importantly benefiting from the many new projects it has acquired, pulling from this vast experience.As a complement to their work in the public sector, TaaD has acquired numerous private commissioned projects. Equally, these projects vary in program, size and location, nourishing the conception phases, moreover building the firms skills by the constant transferring of experience from one project to another. The complexity of such projects strengthens the firm’s experience which is then transferred into its core work. The team strives to create buildings that perfectly fit their various contexts by being particularly attentive to the integration of these projects in their environment, taking into consideration their many constraints in addition to being mindful to their pertinence and their architectural qualities.
