About Team 3

Team 3 is a collective of architects and planners, offering specialised services in Master planning, Architecture and Design. With vast extensive experience and technical expertise of over two decades, Team 3 is co-founded by people who had already established their individuality in the field of architecture, and decided to bring it all together. Team 3 believes that this confluence will explore and find new ideas in design, architecture and construction in the years to come, and will excite and enthuse everyone who becomes part of this process towards successful design solutions.

Our architecture provides a seamless experience, from the outside to the inside across diverse typologies, from hospitality to homes. The studio views successful design as being equally responsive to programmatic fit, aesthetic values, and an informed position in the world of ideas. The lively interaction between these must be carried out through a process of communication that involves all, to result in a robust design with a vision to create benchmarks on every project. The team strives for excellence, novel ideas and explorations every day, and to achieve this, they work with clients, consultants, and other associates together to achieve the best results.

Sanjay Bhardwaj, Shubhra Dahiya and Vijay Dahiya are the three partners of Team 3. Founded in 2011, and based out of New Delhi, the practice is the recipient of many awards and has been published in various coveted national and international journals such as Perspective Global, Society Interiors, Insite, Roof and Facade, Architects and Interiors etc.

Design Approach

At Team3, we are keenly aware of our role in the craft of architecture. Patterns of human life and society in built environments are an intrinsic part of an understanding of this craft. The influences of local climate, technology and history must be respected to produce a global solution which is economically viable, socially responsible and environmentally sustainable. Be it a joinery detail or the resolution of a complex façade, all scales of design are dealt with the same level of interest, enthusiasm and attention to detail.

The design process is an interactive process where everyone must feel equally responsible and not excluded, and work towards achieving the best results. This holistic and integrated design approach is supported by a strong research approach which ensures that the latest ideas in the profession are integrated with projects. Taking pride in the scale of every design project, the studio team orchestrates its own role, while keeping in line with the role of the entire team of consultants, blurring the unseen line of work segregation. The Team is all of us- the client, investors, consultants/associates, contractors, vendors, site supervisors, the masons, carpenters and the workers on site etc. We recognize and respect each of the people associated with a project as contributors to the project and their endeavours that ‘make a successful project’.

At Team 3, we work in an open-system format, constantly deriving unique solutions and re-enriching our environment. The studio team is nurtured with a holistic experience that provides the architects with an overall skill-set, whilst being empowered consistently. We use the latest software- technology and analytic tools and treat our studio like a laboratory to test and refine both ideas and solutions.
