Dowdell to Deliver Dunlop Lecture at Harvard

Lecturer in Architecture Kimberly Dowdell will give the 19th annual John T. Dunlop Lecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. The John T. Dunlop series is a distinguished lecture program hosted by Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies in honor of the former professor of economics who also served as Secretary of Labor under President Ford.

Dowdell’s lecture, “Diverse City: How Equitable Design and Development Will Shape Urban Futures,” will draw from her work at the intersection of sustainable design and real estate development and addresses the importance of inclusive urban revitalization. In addition to teaching at Taubman College, Dowdell is president of the National Organization for Minority Architects and a partner at Detroit-based Century Partners.

She will speak at Gund Hall Piper Auditorium in the Graduate School of Design from 6:30 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 26. The event is free and open to the public. To learn more about the John T.
