Re-educating the educational system.
Nikola Tesla Tech is designed to be a flexible, hybrid, multi functional building with the capacity of constant change based on current and future world advancements in technology and methods or learning.
The school curriculum follows that of STEM with the addition of art. Students can choose a focus of study; health and sciences, business and law, robotics and engineering, technology, or art. The school is divided in two parts. One side of the school is filled with typical classrooms and the other is open studios allowing independent and group study/ research sessions while also encouraging collaboration and engagement with other curriculum focuses. The library makes a connection between the two building by creating two ways of circulation. One on the 3rd floor through the library roofs garden/lounge and the other is through the library.
Introduced as a mix-use building, the school also hosts commercial and retail spaces on the ground floor. Ground floor is open to the public and invites the neighbors and pedestrians into the courtyard with large open entrances. The commercial spaces can be occupied by clinics, law offices, engineering firms, etc. for companies to be able to occupy these commercial spaces, they must dedicate one day a week to teaching student or including students in there respective work. For food vendors to occupy retail spaces, they must adopt a student meal program during school hours to accommodate for the students.
