78B
was a Contemporary house designed by Ar. Tahir Raza (myself). The house
features two independent living units; one on the ground floor and the
other on the first floor. Stair Tower was kept deliberately at the front
so that the upper floor can be rented out.

Ground
Floor has 3 Bedrooms, 1 Drawing Room, a Living area (double-height
having a loft area for study/play), and a small courtyard facilitating
wind flow and natural light flooding into the space. This house explores
a model where the ground floor is occupied by the client and the upper
floor is rented. Privacy was ensured for the ground floor, enabling
access to the courtyard. Courtyard has been an element which ventilates
both ground floor and first floor.
