Tahhan and Bushnaq is an architecture and engineering firm established in 1989 by architects Zaher Bushnaq and Ismail Tahhan. Working out of Amman, the firm is registered in the Jordan Engineers Association and the Engineering Offices Association as an engineering consultancy office.
The two main disciplines of Tahhan and Bushnaq are architectural and structural design. The practical experience of the firm covers architectural, interior, and landscape design, as well as historical conservation, structural design, tender documentation, and site supervision.
Projects undertaken by Tahhan and Bushnaq include residential buildings and villas, public buildings, office buildings, educational buildings, healthcare projects, interiors, landscape design, rehabilitation and adaptive reuse projects, as well as a large number of winning architectural competition entries.
In addition to their practical experience, both architects Ismail Tahhan and Zaher Bushnaq hold master’s degrees in Urban Design and Adaptive Reuse respectively.
The moderate nature of Tahhan and Bushnaq in terms of the firm's size and number of projects it undertakes makes it one of the best architectural firms in Amman and allows both architects to be personally involved with the clients in all the work stages of their projects, starting from initial design stage and ending with supervision of the built project until the last tile is placed. This personal involvement is considered a key element in Tahhan and Bushnaq's work methodology.
