Awards

Portman Prize 2023, 1st Place

An annual competition led in 2023 by visiting critic Kai-Uwe Bermann (AIA, BIG NY), the second-year master of architecture students at Georgia Tech competed in groups to propose a circular economy strategy informed by research on urban typologies in Atlanta.

Our prolific work ethos and communication skills helped me and my studio partner Frank Ajanel reach 1st place, where our teamwork and presentation skills won the jurors’ hearts. This experience also made me realize that a good architectural designer must firstly have a desire to be more reliable, more kind, and more fun.
