Manhattan, KS, US

I am a graduate of Kansas State University, USA with a Master of Science in Architecture degree (concentration in Environment Behavior and Place Studies). I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. I am a current student at the New York Institute of Photography, enrolled in the online course on “Complete Course in Professional Photography.”

I am interested in studying the relationships between urban morphology and socio-cultural behaviors of humans and how human experience and urban design can be significantly interlinked. In addition, I have experience in different computer modeling and analysis software and tools for architecture and urban design. For the past two years, I have been experimenting with DepthmapX software (copyright of the Space Syntax Limited) to conduct space syntax analyses (axial maps and convex maps). I conducted a preliminary study of the pathway configuration of Kansas State University using the software and I am also involved in relevant analysis for the core areas of Kathmandu. In addition, my other programming-related research interest is to conduct different Performance Analyses (as a part of Building Information Modelling ) through Revit Architecture and associated programs (like Flow Design), which can provide real-world understanding for designing buildings, urban areas, and neighborhoods to achieve sustainability in terms of energy use.

In addition to architectural and urban design, I am also interested in such topics as “Cultural Factors in Urban Planning and the role of Cultural Sustainability in Urbanism,” “Environmental Aesthetics,” “Architectural Phenomenology,” Building Information Modelling (Revit) for Building Performance Analysis (BPA),” and “Architectural and Place Photography.”
