This remodel project has also been a custom furniture design practice. It is a relatively small space with a very low ceiling, and not too much of natural light. The design exercise includes strategies to make the space look larger, taller and brighter. The use of white and neutral colors, horizontal shelves on walls and low desks helps create a more open, larger and less disturbed space.
