We were commissioned with a project to redesign a family's penthouse, focusing on the dining area and the two-storey living area.
A few years prior, the original open two-story gallery had been enclosed with a glass wall to create an additional children's room. However, this spatial alteration created an unfavourable sensation, akin to sitting inside an aquarium.
Our clients sought not only to address the challenges posed by the two-story living space but also to redesign the children's room and improve the acoustics in the open-plan living area.
To address these needs, we introduced a continuous acoustic panel cladding on both the walls and the ceiling. This cladding served a dual purpose, not only improving acoustics but also providing an artful backdrop for displaying artwork. For the interior design, we used a coherent color and material scheme with red and apricot tones, which were applied to built-in furniture, textiles, and loose furniture throughout the space.
