Steven Lin is a Los Angeles and New York architectural designer, researcher, and artist. He received his Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, where he explored the possibility of merging urban infrastructure and the local community. Before pursuing his Master's, he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California and practiced at several firms in Los Angeles, Taipei, and Taichung, where he worked on projects ranging from residential, cultural, and education.
Steven expresses his architectural interest in spatial construction through the multiscale lens. He continuously critiques the cause-and-effect process to identify the key factor for architectural inspiration.
Outside of architecture, Steven is enthusiastic about traveling and food. Traveling allows Steven to look at a city at a different scale and how the city is formed and originated. His diverse background provides Steven with various exposures to architecture. He wishes architecture could be presented in many forms to produce an innovative project.
