Academics Without Borders (AWB) is a charitable organization that required a designer to bring their cross-platform graphic identity up to date. Starting with the dominant brand color & main font from AWB's logo, I introduced a family of accent colors and typographical hierarchies that clarified the brand identity and unified the representation of content across formats.
AWB's identity is now simple, bright, fresh and clean. Since 2017 I have been responsible for rolling out this identity through print documents (such as the Annual Report and Case for Support), media campaigns (email templates) and a new multi-lingual, fully accessible site.
AWB wanted a site that was engaging and dynamic. The new site follows the latest standards in accessibility and mobile responsiveness but also put the story of AWB's work at the forefront to increase awareness and draw new donations. With exciting projects and regularly updated volunteer blogs, the new site showcases AWB's impact and makes user engagement straightforward.
