Stephane Gaulin-Brown is an architectural designer, artist, and thinker, living in Montreal, Canada. Based in ongoing academic and creative research, the goal of Stephane’s practice is to enrich the meaning and existential depth of the lived environment.
His research examines issues in phenomenology, perception, theology, and aesthetics. He has given talks sharing his thinking at the Ontario College of Art and Design, the Universities Art Association of Canada, 8eleven gallery in Toronto, and the University of Montreal.
Stephane maintains an art studio where he works in multiple mediums. His work uses techniques of automatic drawing, iconology, and furniture making to create pieces which loosen our modern perceptual gestalt.
These conceptual considerations, and embodied practices comes into play when creating his works of architecture. With 5 years of professional experience in Architecture firms in Canada and abroad, Stephane combines practical problem solving with meaningful design.
