I have graduated in a 5-year Architecture course from the Anna University Chennai, India in April 2019.As a part of B.Arch. curriculum for the 7th and 8th semester, I have completed my internship program for a year in a reputed firm in Coimbatore. During internship, I got the opportunity to learn about construction techniques, structural drawings and architectural working drawings for multiscale projects. For the 9th semester, we had to work on an urban design project. The main focus of the project was to study the chosen site and its neighborhood physically and visually with in-depth analysis and identify the character of the region which helps to propose the masterplan for 2050. The site located at the heart of the city which has the character of urban core, semi-urban core and peri-urban core. Physical features include a river and two lakes. Through the study, analysis with Kevin Lynch's method and inference, we designed a master plan for the region. My thesis project for final year B.Arch. was Eco Five star hotel. Since I had an interest in sustainable development and building services it was apt for my thesis. This also gave me an opportunity to know about the basics of services and sustainable solution for high rise buildings.
