As an independent practitioner of residential projects, I work closely with clients to clearly understand their goals and develop highly personalized solutions. I provide 3D sketch visualizations throughout the design process in order to enhance homeowner participation and optimize results. I am proficient at producing concise-yet-thorough drawing sets, coordinating with consulting engineers, navigating building department clearances, and working with builders.

Responsible for all phases of several small lot subdivisions, multifamily residential, and single family houses. Researched zoning and building codes, and created schematic design proposals via plans, 3D sketch models, and renderings. Generated and maintained working drawings for permit sets and construction documents, coordinated with structural, civil, MEP, and landscape consultants, and investigated materials and products. Conducted site visits during construction, reviewed submittals, and responded to RFIs.

Assisted in establishing and standardizing production practices of a rapidly growing small firm. Led the integration of Revit into the office workflow.

Delivered a wide range of parking design consulting services to property managers, developers, architectural firms, and others. Developed an appreciation for skillful vehicular accommodations as an integral part of an architectural experience, and the pragmatism of allowing parking considerations to precede and inform the structure of a building. Gained proficiency with optimal parking configurations, parking-related codes, accessibility issues, vehicle maneuvering clearance requirements, grading for proper drainage in structures and lots, parking equipment, and signage.

Worked with landscape architects and preservationists on architectural elements of Central Park, eg overpasses, playgrounds, maintenance facilities, and most notably the Central Park Settee. The Settee was showcased in a Cooper-Hewitt bench exhibit, with the pencil-on-vellum shop drawing (created for production as well as for design patent application) featured on the event poster and invitations.
