The SINSSA building technique employs light-gauge steel framing methods as a design-build solution. This superior method achieves construction that is repeatable, profitable, sustainable and high-quality. SINSSA construction offers environmentally-friendly and safety qualities. The South 1 building design employs all of these distinctive SINSSA features and is inspired by sustainable construction techniques and innovative use of material. It features detachable façade components, bicycle storage for each apartment, a rock garden, common roof deck with a green lung fire place, (electrical scooters), state-of-the-art air purification systems, certified engineered wood, Energy Star appliances and green kitchens. The building represents an ecologically responsible and socially progressive structure with a community agenda. The inhabitants are encouraged to care for the roof garden and to bike around the neighborhood, creating a sustainable common goal.

South 1 is an ecological building with reduced emisions and carbon footprint, an abundance of greenery and  the unique recyclability of of its material. Once the building completes its life-cycle, the majority of its materials can be recycled, therefore reducing landfill waste.
