Kampoeng Loemboeng (Rice Barn Village), a resort of luxurious rustic

THE TRADITIONALLY LOEMBOENG
Loemboeng ( or lumbung) is an Indonesian word means rice barn. In Balinese tradition, the loembong is built for gathering the rice harvest from the rice paddy field. The storage is placed on the upper floor. The lower floor is a sitting area for gathering of the farmer and his family.

THE CONTEMPORARY LOEMBOENG
The idea to use rice barn as a cottage came when I visited the site. The layering rice field is very eye catching and should be responded properly with the right context.
The basic idea of the design is to bring luxury into the rustic building and to add an extraordinary experience to the lifestyle.
The up stair will be a huge master bed room with a balcony to relax and enjoy the sunset or sunrise view of the layering rice field. The downstairs’ is designed for a master bathroom with a SPA room for massage activity. Below the balcony is a plunge with jaccuzi for relaxation.
