London’s 2012 Olympics games called for regeneration in and around Stratford’s existing townscape. As a result, Theatre Royal Stratford East were provided with the opportunity to augment their 1884 Grade II* listed facade.
The result captured the identity and the richness of the theatre’s long lasting history, with a materiality to express it’s contemporary edge, while also helping to provide the theatre with a greater street presence.
