For Biathlon races of the XX Olympic Winter Games planned in Turin, the studio has been designed for the project of a new sport facility. The location is in the municipality of Cesana Torinese (TO) on the right side basin of the Val di Susa below the slopes of San Sicario about 1650 meters above sea level. The facility is situated on a flat portion of the slope is characterized by large meadows.
The project provides the recovery of an existing building, the former colony Italsider, converted for services for the Olympics and later for accommodation and sport activities.
The new facility consists of:
-  A cross-country skiing slope made by rings of different lengths (base ring 4,00 km) and the open  spaces  surrounding it, a shooting range, a heating ring and ski test area;
-  A new snowmaking system for the cross-country slope;
-  The ex-colony Italsider recovered for the Olympics;
-  A system of open spaces for access and parking.

The project of the ski slope and of the outdoor areas has combined the Biathlon’s technical issues with the landscape ones, through the creation of spaces with no impacts on the original site orography and using only ecological and natural design solutions.
The building supplies services to the ski slope and is located in the center of a meadowland. It is articulated on three main square plan levels, and the higher is projecting over the others.
The concept of the building is a reinterpretation of the colony typology made by the joint of original cores in one biggest living space.
The first spoor completely glazed is addressed to the athletes, to the press and to all the common activities; the ground floor is used by the sport teams and the first floor contains spaces useful for the Olympic organization (referees and Federations).
Thanks to the maximum flexibility of the design concept, the building will be able to answer to the post-Olympic activities: it will hold accommodation actives, sport activities and entertainment activities.
The choice of non mimetic materials underlines the peculiarity of the structure inside the alpine context.
