The proposal for thesis in “Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design” is an attempt to revive the relationship between humans and Mangroves. Design proposals that focus on the ecological restoration,conservation and expansion of Pichavaram Mangroves has been made with an idea of cultural integration and community participation. The aim is to achieve an ecological balance with economic upliftment of the local people without hindering their daily activities and lifestyle.
