Shixiang Zheng is currently studying at University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Master of Architecture, and will graduate in May 2018. He is now working as the Graduate Teaching Assistant of BIM Workshop in Penn Design. Shixiang is also working on LEED Certificate and Architect Registration Exam (ARE).
Shixiang has excellent architectural design skills and related work experiences. He had two internships in MAD Architects and Zhoushan Institute of Planning & Architecture Design. These internships equipped him with a deep understanding of practical architectural design in terms of building materials and systems, sustainability techniques and construction administration on complex projects, which also enhanced his passion for being an architect.
Shixiang also has strong team-work ability and positive work attitude. He was the vice president for Student Union of School of Civil Engineering in 2012 to 2015. He organized more than 30 activities for 3 years, like holding Structure Competition and designing visual identity and LOGO of 60th Anniversary of Dalian Ocean University. By arranging and organizing these events, he cooperated with 3,000+ students.
In addition, Shixiang is bilingual in English and Mandarin. He is professional in 3D modeling software, like Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Maya, and 2D graphic and rendering software, like Auto CAD, Adobe Suite, Vray, Maxwell, Keyshot and Lumion.
