SLC was formed by principals with considerable experience in the ownership and operation of real estate to address the typical shortcomings experienced in the construction industry. In order to effectively service our clients, we have established distinct operating groups to support the varying scale and complexity of our clients’ projects. Our Special Projects group supports our clients with respect to consulting, construction management, tenant improvements and moderate retrofit projects. Our Capital Projects group supports our clients involved in large-scale renovations, ground-up construction and design-build projects. Moreover, our partnerships with distinguished national contractors enable SLC to service projects of almost any scale and complexity.
SLC also offers expertise in sustainable construction and clean technology innovation with extensive experience in consulting, designing, constructing and managing the application of green initiatives in accordance with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) protocols established by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC®). Consistent with our service-value proposition, we can demonstrate that sustainable design, construction and management are achievable at costs comparable to traditional solutions.
In regard to SLC’s sustainability capabilities, we maintain strategic alliances with individuals and institutions offering unique knowledge and experience with respect to green initiatives. We work closely with the William J. Clinton Foundation, Clinton Global Initiative and Clinton Climate Initiative, each founded by former United States President Bill Clinton. In addition, we are actively involved with the USGBC.
