Marina del Rey, CA
A 1,400sq.ft. reclusive cabin sequestered in the northern Rocky Mountains of Montana at the edge of Glacier National Park designed for a client and his dog. A contemporary and controlled curation of shapes and materials that make for a home that is an extension of its context. Warm and sheltered; natural and raw.
An architecture that uses southern facing, floor-to-ceiling glazing to maximize solar gain, and that deploys high thermal mass materials such as in-situ concrete and stone from the river banks to mitigate the temperature fluctuation year-round.
