Shabir Ahmadi is a dynamic and ambitious Architect with keen interest in Project Management and Implementation of large scale projects. He is a Fulbright scholar and NY State Licensed Architect with more than 10 years of Architecture experience. He has a Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design & Planning from Spitzer School of Architecture at City College of The City University of New York.
Shabir is currently an Aviation Project Architect at Gensler.
Prior to Gensler, Shabir was employed at Corgan as an Aviation Architect working on the JFK New Terminal 6 (Project Size: approx. $3.9 billion, 1.2 million square foot terminal) and some other Aviation projects.
His professional experiences range from research and RFP to documentation of SD/DD/CD, coordination, design, zoning studies, code compliances, project management and construction administration.
As a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholarship, he received outstanding training in planning of urban settings as well as an integrative approach to planning and design, completing his Post Professional Degree in UPD led by distinguished professor, Michael Sorkin.
Shabir is knowledgeable in a wide variety of computer programs including Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite and Ms. Office including Ms Project.
Shabir has worked in major project / construction management platforms such as Autodesk® BIM 360™, e-Builder , etc throughout his career working in large scale projects.
