About

I have over 20 years of international experience working with a variety of architectural styles, use groups, and building types involving new constructions, enlargements, and conversions.

• Architectural Designer: I was an Architectural Designer for several award-winning teams of renowned architects such as Zaha Hadid (London), Peter Eisenman (New York), and Itsuko Hasegawa (Tokyo). While designing, I implement avant-garde ideas in conjunction with sustainable architecture, environmental psychology, and neuroscience concepts. This enables me to create projects that are not only aesthetically beautiful and functional, but that also strive to improve the users’ physical, mental, and social well being.

• Project Architect/Project Manager: For the past eighteen years I have worked as a Project Architect/Project Manager in New York City. As such, I have been responsible for feasibility studies and conceptual design through construction documents, construction administration and field reviews. I have also coordinated the designs across MEP, structural engineering, and interior design disciplines, as well as reviewed both shop drawings and contractor’s submissions.

• Principal: I established and managed my own architectural and real estate development firm in Uruguay for four years.  I handled all stages of business development and preliminary design through construction management. Combining my organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills along with well developed high rate of return real estate business plans, allowed me to seek out potential investors and attract new clientele.

I am a self starter and a team player with extensive experience interacting with clients, consultants, and contractors. When supervising project teams, I always strive to encourage the utmost best and exceeded the client’s expectations. My ability to develop sets of drawings with accuracy, deliver results in a timely manner, and provide quality assurance have increased the quality of the design delivery process, as well as the architectural firms and clients’ profitability by greatly reducing the amount of change orders, request for information, and future liabilities. My extensive experience in real estate development and entrepreneurship has enhanced my understanding of the financial impacts associated throughout all phases of design, increasing the client profitability, retention, and recurrence.

I am a New York State Registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional. I hold a Diploma in Architecture and Architect’s License from the University of Uruguay, and a Master of Architecture (Japanese Ministry of Education Fellowship and graduated with honors) from Science University of Tokyo-Japan.

Throughout my career I have maintained a commitment to high quality design, construction, and business ethics. I am confident that my extensive design, technical, managerial, and business development experience would make me an asset to your firm.
