Senem Zeybekoglu Sadri is an architect, researcher, permaculture designer and lifelong learner. She is working as Associate Professor of Architecture at Girne American University. She completed her PhD in Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul Turkey, on urban transformation and right to the city. She was a visiting researcher in State University of New York in Binghamton (2006) as a Fulbright scholar; a visiting lecturer in Canterbury (2011) and visiting scholar at City University of New York (2018). She has several publications on transformation of cities and urban regeneration, urban social movements and politics of public space, right to the city and rights based architectural education, de-urbanization and transition design. She is the co-principal of De-Urban Design Studio, a think tank laboratory which re-imagines human settlements as ethical, equitable, ecological and ecocentric living habitats.
