Tutors: Nahyun Hwang + David Moon Team: Seda Oznal + Javier Moya + Mengying Hu
Description: As a part of the on-going research and studio series “Interim Urbanism,” the studio considered the architecture of the stay, a working term that acknowledges the underexplored concept of a genre of architecture and urbanism that describes a spectrum of temporary habitation in all of its forms and intricacies. As a group, we extracted five distinct sections throughout the park to experiment different possible approaches. Each stripe is a narrative that speculates on more democratic and public reading of Central Park, by using different programs, design approaches and types of stay.
