Currently, I am employed at the New York City-based  firm, O'Neil Langan Architects (OLA). Predominately retail fit-out projects, I work directly under the principal and with a number of established clients including: Goyard, Marc Jacobs and Space NK; and previously under a senior associate on projects for Versace, Charles Tyrwhitt and Tory Burch. This is a unique position in that I manage projects in both the architectural and designer capacities. I am responsible for conceptual design, design development, code analysis & compliance, permit filings, FF&E research & specification,  production of construction documents and construction administration for each project. In addition, I maintain direct relationships with the client or client's representative from design discussions to project turn-over through regular conference calls or face-to-face meetings and presentations; create and maintain project schedules; coordinate with trades including  MEP and structural engineers; bid projects to general contractors and participate in the selection process. We are a fast-paced firm, and I often find myself in the midst of meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously.  

I've recently relocated to Los Angeles and continue to work remotely on several of OLA's Los Angeles area projects.  

Prior to OLA, I spent a number of years working in-house for a residential developer, initially as part of a design/architectural team and eventually leading a team of up to 5 people. Working closely with marketing agents and the investors, I provided interior design concepts, developed my design, provided construction documents for the in-house construction team and advised on overall exterior design and detailing. During my time at SAK Shop / Criterion Group I fine-tuned my natural design talent, learned skills and discerning taste to successfully design spaces that were appealing, highly unique yet efficient and within the developer's budget. The scope of my interior work included: apartment unit and common/amenity space overall design, layout, FFE and finishes; conceptual marketing packages; routine site visits and coordination with construction management.

  While completing my second bachelors degree, I was offered an internship at MR Architecture and Decor - a residential and retail boutique design firm. Starting out selecting materials and producing scaled models and later hired as a full-time junior designer where I assisted a senior project manager in sourcing FFE, space planning, and staging. I was often on-site overseeing the construction process and developing detailed progress reports and punch lists
